WEPA stands for: Wind Energy Playa Ambience, all the things that make Cabarete what it is today!

It is a non-profit event scheduled to take place on Cabarete beach from Monday 28th of May until Saturday 2nd of June 2012.

WEPA is the fruit of the collaboration between some long time established businesses in Cabarete.

WEPA is a showcase of Cabarete’s uniqueness and a fund raiser, to enable young talented local athletes stars to participate in competitions around the world and promote Cabarete there.

WEPA Cabarete will showcase what the town has to offer: activities for the adventurous through to something the whole family can enjoy.

Register for the event, pay your US$150, and you’ll be able to participate in all the scheduled activities for the week. with so much on offer, this event should not be missed.

The DREAMin Live beach concert features world renowned musicians and exceptional local talent. Doug Wimbish, Eric Gales and a special guest appearance by Lauryn Hill ensure that this concert will be the highlight of the year.

The event is on Saturday, May 12th at 7pm. Located on the beach in front for LAX Bar & Restaurant. Entry is FREE.

Primarily a fund raising event, they are also holding a brunch and silent auction at Embocca from 11am to 3pm. See you there!

Haitis (singular) means highland or mountain range in the Taíno language, the indigenous Dominican population. Although the elevation of the park’s hills range from only 30–40 m (98–130 ft), there is a multitude of caverns created by water erosion. Taínos adorned these caverns with pictographs and petroglyphs. The culture or cultures which created these artworks remain unidentified, some of them possibly predating the Taínos.

Excursions are adventure and eco-style, and Paradise Island with its amazing untouched coral reef is one of the best places in the Dominican Republic for snorkelling and diving.
